Who in your life have you underestimated?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 13, 2009:
My Dad, when he was alive. There was so much more depth to him, once he retired. He had time to "be". We became two people connecting and relating to one another rather than in our father-daughter role. I wish we'd had more time to get to know each other before he left...

I know what you are saying and I feel the same way about my Dad. It wasn't till I was well grown that we began to actually communicate as two people. Then the time ran out.
